Today I would like to talk about why we are scared of the things that are unknown to us. It’s interesting to see how people react to certain situations that can’t explain. Whether it’s dealing with the spiritual world or the extraterrestrial world. For many, they don’t believe in the world of ghosts and spirits. Some can’t grasp the possible concept of life after death or that our spirit, our soul continues on living even after our body has died. But have those who do not believe in the afterlife ever experienced something strange happen? A feeling that someone is watching you, even in your own home. A glimpse of a dark shadow from the corner of your eye that you told yourself it was just a trick of the eye.
We may never truly know what is the cause but some, it’s believed to be those in the afterlife. Ghost shows try to uncover the mysterious noises or happenings that occur within homes, buildings or abandoned structures. We may find voices that whisper in our ears, or the sudden movement of metal down a corridor. A shadow may be seen in the already dark room. Darker than darkness itself. But will we continue to turn our cheek on that? Will we continue to ignore what we can’t explain because we are afraid of it?
Or will we figure out why the curtain moved even when there is no breeze? Was it an adjustment of the fabric or was it the movement of a spirit who is forever trapped within that house?
It’s difficult to allow yourself to believe in something that you can’t see or explain but isn’t that life though? Trying to figure out the unknowns so we know what they are, what it is, and how it works. If we don’t try to figure out the unknowns that we may have lost an opportunity on something great. What if there really is life after death and it looks exactly the way life looks now but there is just a slight difference within the two world’s. A knowledge that they have died but yet are able to continue living even if it means not being able to talk or feel the ones you care about, who are living.
A small few who have legally died and came back say that all they saw was a tunnel of light or just darkness. What if they only saw the beginning of the afterlife. Kind of like a dream. When we dream, we can intervals of blank areas between dreams, what if that’s what they saw? Just the gap between the living world and the dead and they didn’t have enough time to get to the next part.
There may be absolutely nothing once we die but I think the thought, the idea is what matters most. Going through life thinking that there is nothing is depressing to think about. We live our lives until we get to the end and the end there is nothing. I would rather live life knowing there is something after we die.
What about you? Do you believe in the afterlife? That there is something after we die? Spirits/ghosts who continue to roam the world even after they have passed? What do you think?
Leave a comment on what you think, and please be respectful. 🙂
